Rolling Stones ‘Satisfy’ Toronto
It was a huge day for concert-goers in Toronto yesterday when close to 450,000 fans made the trek to Downsview Park to see the Rolling Stones, AC/DC and 13 other great acts perform. Unfortunately, I had to work but watched some streaming video (sans audio) at my desk throughout the day. After work, Sean and I went home to watch the coverage on MuchMoreMusic and CBC. I don’t think that I’ve ever seen that many people in one place at the same time. I’m almost thankful that I wasn’t there, since getting back home would have taken a long time, especially since we live on the other side of Toronto.
So today is just another normal day here at work. I’ll be looking forward to the long weekend for some relaxation and most likely a hair cut. I may also venture downtown, maybe walk around Yonge St and take in the sights. In less than 2 weeks, I will be back in the Maritimes for a friend’s wedding. I fly out on the 13th to Moncton and will then drive down to Wolfville for a few days, then return to T.O. on the 18th. It should be a nice vacation to get away from the big city for a little while and to see some friends at Acadia.
