Did you see any?

The final long weekend of the summer has come and gone with plenty accomplished. Here is my weekend in a nutshell:

Saturday - Spent the morning lazing around the apartment. Had chocolate chip cookies and milk for breakfast/lunch. Went down to Dominion at Bridlewood mall to get some groceries. Spent the evening in front of my laptop, working on a database schema to keep track of foosball statistics. Hopefully it’ll be running on this site’s MySQL db later this week.

Sunday - Church in the morning and then to Bamburgh Food Market to pick up some other groceries. Spent the afternoon perfecting the foosball database and then took a nap. Had some hot italian sausages for supper at 9:00pm.

Monday - Woke up early, at 7:30am. Why, you ask? It was the last day of the Canadian National Exhibition (aka CNE, The Ex) and I was going to check it out with my uncle. I left the apartment at 8:30am and missed the bus by about 10 seconds so I had to wait 20 minutes for the next one. I made it down to the Exhibition at 10:00am and started browsing around some of the buildings which included a Kids’ Science Centre that had some pretty cool experiments. Met up with my uncle at 11:00am and we started checking out the rest of the CNE grounds. I never realized how big it was. In total there were 700 exhibitors, everything from hot tubs to cookware, 65 rides, and tons of food joints. The afternoon consisted of watching the air show and looking around Ontario Place and then taking in some rides during the late evening. We finally left at 9:00pm and I arrived back to the apartment at 10:30pm.

Now it’s Tuesday morning, all of the elementary and high school students are heading back to school today and Acadia will be starting classes tomorrow.
