Broomball Dreams

Posted by tvor @ 11:44 pm

I had a dream last night which made me realize that I’m going to miss something very near and dear to me at Acadia this year…BROOMBALL! My dream took place down at the Acadia Arena where there were about 20 people running around on the ice playing this awesome game, however, I was wearing skates for some reason.

Anyways, all day I was thinking about playing broomball and how much I missed it. Last season with the ACF Archangels was amazing to say the least. Nothing is better than running from the apartment at the top of Highland down to the arena to play a midnight game of broomball. It was so cold and we used to be so tired from running down the hill, but nothing could keep us from running around on the ice until the wee hours of the morning. We only won a few games last season but I think that we had the most fun out of any team.

Sean and I have been talking about broomball for next year as well. He’s never played it before but I think that I’ve recruited him for our Archangels for next season. Looking over the roster from last year, we lost about 8 of our key players so we’ll need to get some rookies on the go for this season. I’ll leave that up to you, Andrew.

  1. Broomball is not for the faint at heart, you’ve got to have an iron will, titanium nerves and a butt of steel for when you fall down on it.

  3. I never thought that a cheer for the Archangels would include the word “ass”, but hey, to each their own! :)
