iTunes Live
I downloaded iTunes about a week ago (due to some convincing), and it has beaten out Winamp 2.x as my new mp3 player. I used to have all of my music in one big list, but now I’m starting to create some Smart Playlists with iTunes that will automatically add songs with certain artists, song titles, and pretty much any other way you can categorize songs to another list. It’s awesome!
Also, I forgot how much that I enjoy listening to live music compared to studio recorded music. I downloaded a few live tracks of Elton John and Billy Joel from their 1998 tour in Japan and they totally blow away their studio-recorded versions. The last time I was big into live music was a couple years ago when I downloaded tons of live Beastie Boys songs, especially from their live concert in Glasgow.
Now all you need to do is get Sean and Gump on it, and you can share your playlists! (Hint: go to edit->preferences->sharing) I’m still waiting for it to catch on here!
