Come on Down

Posted by tvor @ 9:28 am

I just read about the passing of Rod Roddy, the announcer from the Price is Right. He died yesterday and was believed to be 66, although there are records saying he was 67.

  2. No more Rod Roddy? Ack! My life is over… we was the best… and the host is Bob Barker, good heavens you didn’t know that?

I watch too many game shows… Nothing beats the old Match Game though. Possibly Hollywood Squares when Whoopi was there.

  3. Hollywood Squares was so cheesy, especially with those awful jokes they always told before giving their answer.

  4. Blasphemy! Whoopi is the Goddess of All Things! (my new Muppet Christmas movie proves it!)

  5. guess the price is right trend never caught on in my household. I was more of a jeopardy/wheel of fortune child, due to my grnadparents being obsessed with both those shows. I’ll have to take trevor’s side on the HS matter, it’s just a last resort for washed up celebs.

  6. Oh man this is sad! He hasn’t been on for quite some time. The new guy is terrible, and it just won’t be the same without him.

Kind of reminded me of a flashier Dave Thomas (may he rest in peace).

What is this world coming to?

  7. I used to like Hollywood Squares, but now they changed the game and I don’t like it anymore. That and Whoopi is gone.

I noticed the annoucer on Price is Right was different… and not as good. sad :(

I still watch Jeopardy from time to time, but Wheel of Fortune doesn’t come on anymore…

What is the world coming to? Well people are getting older and old people are dying. It’s not that hard to figure out, but it is still sad :(

  8. The following people are still alive:

    Mick Jagger
    Keith Richards
    Jack Mckeon.

Just to put a different spin on these sort of posts.
