Get Comics!

Posted by tvor @ 9:39 pm

I spend a good 10 minutes of every morning looking through my favorite comics at comics.com. I just wrote a php script that is going to save me alot of time. I call it Get Comics! which currently has a list of 28 daily comics that you can display on 1 webpage. This is only version 1.0 since I will be adding some other features such as showing archived strips and also adding more comics to the list. Enjoy!

  1. Feature request: Make a hook so that I can put a link on my page to, say, “Foxtrot” and clicking on that link will take me to Get Comics! with the latest Foxtrot.

  4. I could teach ya. Then you’d be a 1337 h4X0r and be able to write some nifty code!

  5. thanks, but you’d have to be the equivalent to a computer jedi master to be able to teach me anything about computers, I don’t exactly pick it up easily

  6. Wow, I’ve never heard of half of those comics… where do they appear, in Toronto newspapers or something?

Also, to Andrew: why don’t you just put a link on your website that goes directly to the Foxtrot website?

  10. Was looking to see if you could tell me how you did the comic get stuff or if I could get a hold of you code if you don’t mind. I have a friend who would like me to create a personal site for him and place some comics on it that stay up to date but not have to post them everyday.

    Thanks,
    Doug
