Got Elf?
I went to see Elf yesterday with Sean down at the cinema. It was great to start getting into the Christmas spirit with a good movie. On Friday I bought the Christmas with Johnny Cash album so I’m all set. My iTunes Christmas playlist currently contains 30 songs ranging from the ever-so-awesome Boney M to a couple country tunes. I’ve also downloaded some classic Christmas cartoons such as Frosty the Snowman and the Grinch which I’ll have to watch soon.
In regards of Christmas shopping, I’ve only bought 1 gift so far, for the Knocks. I’ll probably head out next weekend to do some more shopping or see if I can do some shopping when I arrive back in Moncton so that I won’t have to haul all of the presents back east in my suitcase.
In other news, I’m going to try and get my hair cut today. I’ve been putting it off for the past couple weeks and it’s starting to get very shaggy.
And of course, you can’t forget the Christmas lights you bought at Zellers yesterday! We’ll have something on our bare walls now! Nothing like lights to put you into the Christmas mood!
(Do I use ‘!’ too much?)
Comment by Omallley — December 1, 2003 @ 9:34 amYou sure do sound excited!! Maybe it’s because it’s pay week, you have a birthday, and get to head back east for the weekend. It definetely doesn’t sounds like a normal “case of the Mundays..”
We’ll have to find a place to put up the lights after work. Maybe create a Christmas tree on the living room wall with them or something…
Comment by Trevor — December 1, 2003 @ 10:28 amSpeaking of Christmas trees, you should see the one in the entrace at work: Its a HUGE Christmas tree made out of poinsettia. So its nice and green/red/white. Very Chritmasy indeed!
Comment by Omallley — December 1, 2003 @ 11:05 amChristmas is freakin awesome!! and I will use all the !!!!s I want. Your present came in the mail today trevor, so i will send it to Moncton so it will be there when you arrive. it’s the first time I’ve ever done christmas shopping on e-bay!
Comment by Erin — December 1, 2003 @ 11:44 amalso, get a hair cut crazy hippy!
You guys don’t know christmas tree’s like I do.
Back in the day when I worked for christmas tree people, we had an order for one that was 40 feet tall. To ship to japan. Oh lordy, that was fun to get down.
Oh, and trevor, kudos on being able to admit you listen to country. I salute you.
Comment by Derek — December 1, 2003 @ 12:33 pmI bought wrapping paper yesterday too, so now I can wrap and send your present to ya, Erin. Now I just have to find something for our fellow ‘Gary’ friend down in W’ville. hmmm…
I detest most country, except Johnny Cash. He’s awesome!
Comment by Trevor — December 1, 2003 @ 12:47 pmI know trees quite well too Derek. But more in their younger years…I’ve planted around 150,000 of them in my two years of hell (tree planting). Thats right. 150,000 @ 7 cents a tree. I can tell you all about “re-gen” (”Stay the f%@# away from the re-gen boys!”) red spruce, black spruce, etc, etc. And all about drinking 8L of water in a day, going through a bottle of deet a week, getting tendonitis in your elbow, rubbing your shoulders raw to the point they bleed, getting atheletes foot and developing…well…this is a family site, so I won’t get into the last one. Nothing of bottle of PH won’t fix.
And the most messed up part of it is: I would do it again in a heart beat.
Comment by Omallley — December 1, 2003 @ 1:13 pmI have to learn how to spell. Or at least proof read.
Comment by Omallley — December 1, 2003 @ 1:14 pmHow was Elf?
Comment by Andrew — December 1, 2003 @ 8:28 pmFunny. Quite funny, actually. A good Christmas movie.
Comment by Trevor — December 1, 2003 @ 8:38 pmI think it?s funny how you refer to Erin and Matt as the Knocks
