Monumental Day!
This morning I did something that I haven’t done for nearly 6 years. And even back then I was required to do it for gym class. I have ignored the fitness centre/gym here at work for the past 8 months, so last week as part of a “New Year’s resolution”, I signed up.
I just came back from a 25 minute workout consisting of riding a bike and lifting a few weights. If I can keep this up for the next 4 months, hopefully I will accomplish my ultimate goal of going for a run at 6:00ish every morning during the summer before work. There couldn’t be a better opportunity for me than here in Toronto. First off, I can get back in shape at the FREE gym at work. Secondly, we live on Bamburgh Circle. It’s a freakin’ circle! So I can just run around it to my heart’s content with the furthest distance away from home being about 1km.
Congrats Trev. Go for it. There is a couple whom you are acquainted with down here who are joining up with Vitality Moncton this Thursday. With the program we get a pedometer which keeps track of every step we take. 350 were out to the meeting on Friday. Visit the Times Transcript. So we hope to set some records in 2004. More in 2004!
Comment by odie — January 12, 2004 @ 11:47 amHey good to make use of that gym. Look out Charles Atlas here comes Trevor.
wow, big buff trevor! maybe now you won’t get beat by girls so often
Comment by Erin — January 12, 2004 @ 11:49 amErin? Are you holding out on us? Give us the dirt!
Comment by Omallley — January 12, 2004 @ 1:05 pmTo clarify the rumours, I have never been beaten up by a girl. Oops, actually I remember a few occasions where Andrew threw me in a snowbank. But Andrew is the only girl that has ever beaten me up.
Comment by Trevor — January 12, 2004 @ 1:36 pmYou physical people you. Bah.
Comment by Ryan — January 12, 2004 @ 2:20 pmI seem to remember some living room scuffles last year where you ended up on the loosing side of things and a girl ended up on the winning side….remember finger fencing? leg wresting?
Comment by Erin — January 12, 2004 @ 3:56 pmI don’t know Trev, this sounds serious. Serious in the “This has got to be good” kind of way
Comment by Omallley — January 12, 2004 @ 4:34 pmI was being the perfect gentleman by losing those battles.
Comment by Trevor — January 12, 2004 @ 4:51 pmIt sounds kinda enjoyable to me. But I’m like that
Comment by Derek — January 12, 2004 @ 8:01 pmI can bear testament that Trevor tried his hardest, but couldn’t beat certain girls in the aforementioned sports.
And, the only reason Trevor got thrown in a snowbank is because he snuck up behind a couple girls and threw them in first without warning. Dirty pool, m’lad.
Comment by Andrew — January 13, 2004 @ 10:51 amthough as I remember you snuck up behind him and threw him in a number of times disproportionate to his crime
Comment by Erin — January 13, 2004 @ 11:32 amYou’re forgetting the fact that I only threw Trevor in if he tried to throw me in. (which he never did)
*misty eyes*… those were good times. And the funny thing was that he couldn’t retaliate because “I had my laptop in my bookbag.”
when in actual fact it was sitting on our living room floor.
Comment by Andrew — January 13, 2004 @ 4:19 pmLOL, that was a good one
