Wanted: Summer

Posted by tvor @ 7:08 pm

Not much has happened since the last post but I just felt like blogging.

It looks like we are going to be stuck here on Bamburgh Circle for the remaining 7 months minus 7 days that we have left. Our lease doesn’t end until the end of June so it would be too much hassle to find another apartment and move our stuff for only a couple months. Maybe the cockroaches will go away when summer arrives. That would be nice.

Speaking about summer, I’m looking forward to the upcoming baseball season with the Blue Jays. I went to 4 games last summer and will be looking to increase that number this year. I was just looking at their ticket prices and the different deals they offer. They have 5, 7, 20, and 40 game flex packs, plus full season tickets. I wouldn’t mind going to 20 games, at a cost of $171 for SkyDeck seats (aka sitting on the SkyDome’s roof). But then I found a better offer. I could get a Toronto Star Season Pass and see all home games from the SkyDeck for only $81. That’s only $1 per game! The only catch I can see is that they don’t guarantee your seat within 45 minutes of the game starting. That’s probably in case they sell out, which has a very high chance of not happening. I doubt whether I would go to every game but it would be nice to have the option of going down some night after work or on the weekend to see a Jay’s game. Seeing as how scalper’s tickets for the same seats go for $10, I’d just have to watch about 9 games to get my money’s worth. I’m still contemplating it but will probably give in and buy a pass.

Anyways, that’s all for now.

  2. They might pull a decent season together and surprise you. They were above .500 last season for the first time since.. 95??

They signed halliday to a longer term deal, and made some good offseason moves. Ol JP is starting to put his fingerprints on the team, and its looking GOOD.
