Movies, Graffiti, and Fresca

Posted by tvor @ 7:43 pm

It’s a nice long weekend here in Toronto with some great weather.

On Thursday night, Gump, Mike, and myself went to Mandarin Buffet which was giving every Canadian a free buffet on Canada Day. However, the lineup was outside of the door and across the lawn, probably a 2 hour wait to eat. So, we decided to head to Montana’s Steakhouse instead. The ribs and dessert were great…and $40 later, I was full. Then we headed out to the Cineplex Odeon to see Spiderman 2 but it was sold-out so we saw Shrek 2 which was hilarious.

Last night, Mike and I headed down to Rainbow Cinemas to see Farenheit 9/11 but there were still tickets available for Spiderman 2, so we decided to see that instead. It was a great movie, I’d give it a 9.5/10. Now I just need to see the first Spiderman movie so that I can put the entire storyline together.

Today I took a short jaunt downtown since there wasn’t much else going on. Not much to report on here although there was some kind of rap/hip-hop/graffiti artist show going on called Style in Progress which I checked out for a while. There were a bunch of graffiti artists showing off their art which was pretty amazing considering they were only using cans of spraypaint.

While on the way home, I stopped by a new Chinese supermarket that opened just up the street. It’s like an Atlantic Superstore but all in Chinese. That place was packed too so I quickly grabbed a case of Fresca and headed home.
