Planes, Delays, and Buses back to Vancouver
I arrived back to Vancouver on Monday evening after returning from a wonderful 4 days in Calgary and Lacombe with Caitlin and her family.
Whenever I fly, I try to use CanJet or WestJet and avoid Air Canada at all costs since I don’t fully trust them with getting me to my destination on time. In this case, Air Canada was the cheapest so I decided to risk it. The trip back from Calgary soon became evident why I don’t like flying with Air Canada. There were technical problems with the aircraft which lead to a delay for getting more fuel. Overall, we ended up having a 45 minute delay in Calgary. It wasn’t too bad since I wasn’t on a tight schedule, but it still proves my point that Air Canada isn’t the most dependable airline in Canada.
Since arriving back to Vancouver I have heard from a job opportunity in Calgary which I applied for while I was there. I will most likely have an interview next week sometime. Until then, I’ll keep searching for a job.
As per usual, pictures from Calgary are in the gallery.
